Police now say one of the people involved a stand-off this morning in South Sacramento was wanted for murder and has been arrested.

The suspect is a 16-year-old.

Officers originally responded to a home in the 3800 block of 36th Street for the purpose of serving a search warrant.

Up to 10 people ran out of the home when officers arrived, and one of them threw a gun over a fence.

The teen was found to have barricaded himself in a crawlspace under the home, but he surrendered and was safely taken into custody after SWAT officers tossed tear gas into the home.

Another person at the home was charged with resisting arrest.
