A new Field Poll takes a look at State Senator Leland Yee and what effect his departure from the race for Secretary of State has had.

Regardless of the outcome, the damage to Democrat Leland Yee is done.

The Field Poll says he's gone from voters being fairly split on his image to a majority seeing him negatively.

He lost nearly 10 points in the favorable column after his arrest.

But his unfavorable numbers jumped as voters who held no opinion on him chimed in negatively.

As for the race for Secretary of State, Yee was in third place behind Republican Pete Peterson and Democrat Alex Padilla.

Padilla absorbed most of Yee's numbers, but Peterson even picked up a few points on Padilla, amounting to a 13 point lead as some undecided voters made up their minds.
