Toyota is recalling 294,000 vehicles in North and South America for a skid-control software glitch.

The recall affects the RAV4 SUV, Tacoma pickup and Lexus RX 350, built from March 2012 through December 2012.

Toyota says the problem can cause the stability control, anti-lock brakes and traction control to turn off, although standard braking will keep working.

No accidents or injuries have been reported.
