Two men from Sacramento are under arrest in connection with one of the largest drug busts in Madera County's history.
The California Highway Patrol says a traffic stop led officers to find 18 kilos of cocaine, 16 pounds of meth, and eight pounds of heroin, valued at nearly $700,000.
The two men from Sacramento, Juan Esparza, 39, and Raydel Gomez, 29, were stopped at Highway 99 and Avenue 12, about 20 miles Northwest of Fresno.
The CHP officer and his K-9 partner who busted the men are part of the Madera County Narcotic Enforcement Team.
The men were booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections with bail set at $5 million each.
