Two people from Auburn have been arrested after a bizarre vehicle stop. An officer pulled over a green Ford Explorer for a vehicle code violation yesterday. When the officer approached the SUV, he noticed what looked like a handgun on the lap of the driver.
It turned out to be a compressed air powered pellet gun. During a search of the vehicle, the officer then found a pipe used to smoke methanphetamine, burglary tools, and stolen property. The driver, Andrew Lichty, and the passenger, Crystal Hubanks, were booked on a number of different charges.
