The body that was found in the Sacramento River this morning has been identified as the 28-year-old Broughty Cole, according to a Tweet from the Sacramento Police Department.

Cole went missing on March 3, and his vehicle was located in the Miller Park area on March 8.

This led to a coordinated search in the area. Sacramento Police, the Yolo County Sheriff's Department Marine Unit and the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department all participated in search which began around 11:54 a.m.

At this time, there has been nothing suspicious and a full coroner's examination is pending.

Friends and family of Broughty Cole are holding a Candlelight Vigil for the Sacramento musician tonight.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Sacramento Marina in Miller Park where Cole's car was found over the weekend.

The 28-year old disappeared March 3.

He was planning on traveling to Nevada City for a performance the next day, but never showed up.

The public is invited to tonight's event. Bring your own candle.
