A second crewmember of a Navy helicopter that crashed Wednesday off the Virginia coast is dead. The Navy and Coast Guard are continuing to search for a third sailor who remains missing after the helicopter crashed a few miles off the coast of Cape Henry. Four of the five crewmembers were rescued soon after the Sea Dragon chopper went down. Navy officials said the two crewmembers died after arriving at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Coast Guard Captain John Little says a cutter and patrol boat were nearby and began a search and rescue mission shortly after the crash.
The Sea Dragon is minesweeping helicopter which was based at the Norfolk Naval Station.
