One good turn deserves another.

The USA Track and Field Championships are coming back to Sacramento and a successful run will mean another visit.

Officials say the national event will return in 2017 if attendance goals are met this year.

Organizers need to sell 22,500 tickets over the course of four days from June 26 to June 29.

The track at Sac State's Hornet Stadium is set to get a $1.2 million upgrade ahead of this summer's meet.

The 2000 and 2004 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials at the university were the best-attended trials in history, averaging more than 20,000 spectators over each of the 16 days of competition.
