White House Goes Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness
Posted October 24th, 2013 @ 4:51pm by KFBK News

The White House is illuminated in pink tonight to promote breast cancer awareness.

The Naval Observatory residence where Vice President Joe Biden lives is also illuminated in pink.

Last month, President Barack Obama issued a presidential proclamation naming October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The American Cancer Society estimates about 40,000 people will die this year from breast cancer.

KFBK has been promoting breast cancer awareness all month with its "Surviving Breast Cancer" series. You can learn more through KFBK's Health Portal. And please donate to the Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation if you can. It just takes a few easy clicks.
