There may be another Nutting on the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors in a little over two months.
While her husband, Ray Nutting, has been stripped of his supervisor title by a judge for a misdemeanor conviction, Jennifer Nutting says she plans to step in and take over his board seat.
She still has to file official candidate papers, but Mrs. Nutting has posted her intention to run in the Sept. 9 special election on Facebook.
She writes, "...after a lot of thought and consideration (she has) decided to run" for the District 2 Supervisor position. She adds that she wants to "assure everyone that (she feels she is) truly doing this for the right reasons."
She continues to vocally support her husband, as he reportedly plans to challenge his conviction and the ruling which got him booted out of office.
