A Yuba City man accused of petty theft and felony pimping has pleaded not guilty to a felony charge.

Darik Hickman, 24, allegedly kept a woman in a Yuba City hotel room and forced her into prostitution.

The woman, who testified against Hickman last November, said he drugged and transported her to Yuba City, created a profile on a prostitution website then collected the money she received from the clients.

Hickman pleaded not guilty on Monday to the felony charge of failure to appear for his April court date, but still faces charges of possible human trafficking and pimping.

His next court date is set for July 9.
