A Yuba City teen's life is going from bad to worse, all because she wanted to go to the prom.
River Valley High Student Saira Munoz wanted to go to prom.
She baked some pot-brownies and got some friends at school to help sell the brownies to raise the money to buy a dress.
But when a student got sick after eating one everything went sideways.
Munoz was arrested, tried and convicted of felony child endangerment and misdemeanor possession of marijuana on school grounds when she pleaded no contest to the charges.
She was sentenced to nine-days in jail, and four years probation.
Problem is, the conviction violates the "temporary permission" she received to go to school in the U.S. Meaning, she could be deported back to Mexico at any moment.
