Digger's Deli in Vacaville is giving back to the community that supports them. Owners Gigi Warshawsky and Peter Vessels are feeding evacuees and volunteers at area shelters including Mission Solano, Solano Community College and the animal shelter set up at the county fairgrounds. They prepare sack lunches and gather other supplies to give to their neighbors in need.
They and their staff volunteer their time to do this work but they are asking for donations to help cover the food costs and the gas it takes to make the deliveries.
