17 Charged In Grab-And-Go Thefts At California Apple Stores

Police believe they have dismantled a large criminal ring involved in several grab-and-go thefts at Apple stores all over California.

Attorney General Xavier Becerra today announced arrests made or warrants issued involving 17 people linked to Apple stores heists in 19 counties over the last several months.

Seven arrests were made in Alameda County and one in Sonoma County earlier this week and warrants were issued for nine others since then.

The robberies have usually involved as many as eight hooded people at a time swarming Apple stores and running out with handfuls of iPhones, iPads and other items on display.
