Woman Leaves 7-Eleven With Dying Man's Dog After He Has Seizure

Authorities in Colorado are looking for a woman who walked off with a dog while its owner was suffering a medical episode. Police say the dog's 59-year-old owner was not feeling well when he decided to go for a walk. The man walked into a nearby 7-Eleven with his dog where he fell and suffered a seizure.

While first responders were trying to save the man, an unidentified woman walked over to his dog, grabbed its leash, and walked out of the convenience store. The man was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The man's family did not recognize the woman and the police have asked the public for help identifying her. The Longmont Fire, Police, and OEM shared photos of the woman taken from surveillance cameras at the 7-Eleven. They said that the dog responds to either Sampson or Sammy.

"Public Safety staff does not know what the purpose was in removing this dog, but we ask that you please return their dog to the Longmont Police Department, 225 Kimbark, in Longmont. [The family] not only lost a treasured family member, but are also missing his companion."
