  1. The candidate Kevin McCarthy endorsed for his congressional seat will not be allowed to run. California Assemblyman Vince Fong was declared ineligible because he had already filed to run for re-election to the State Assembly. Click here to read more.
  2. Back-to-back rainstorms are slamming into Northern California. The National Weather Service says the first storm arrived Sunday with maybe a half-inch to three-quarters of an inch of rainfall. The region is experiencing heavy rain, high winds, lightning and thunder over night into Monday morning. Click here to read more.
  3. Intel has announced they're cutting more than two hundred workers at their Folsom campus by the end of the year. That’s on top of the 549 layoffs that happened earlier in 2023. Intel says the cuts are part of a global restructuring plan. Click here to read more.
  4. A former NBA player and his girlfriend are accused of killing a woman who had been reported missing. Chance Comanche and girlfriend Sakari Harnden are accused of executing a murder plot on Harnden's friend, Marayna Rodgers, earlier this month. Rodgers was reported missing on December 7th in Las Vegas, just two days after she went out with friends and planned to meet with Harnden. Click here to read more.
