I knew the bloom had to come off the rose sooner or later (I'm saying that tongue firmly planted in cheek).

Now that I've settled in to married life, my wife and I have had to come up with creative ways to spend time together. It's not easy with my hours (up at 1:30 or 2am) and "E" is a night owl. The kids have after school activities, and getting a babysitter isn't easy (or cheap). So "E" and I have made Tuesday or "date day." We get lunch, run errands and spend a few hours talking without being interrupted.

Recently we hit Costco. I had to buy a new toothbrush. Turns out I'm having some gum issues, and after years of having my dentist pester me, I broke down and bought a Sonic Care toothbrush. I can't believe I paid THAT much for one of these things. The dentist swears they work wonders, and my wife loved hers...so, I found myself in the checkout line reading the box, and trying to figure out how this thing works.

It wasn't the most romantic date I/we've ever been on, but I really look forward to our Tuesday outings, and falling into the comfortable rhythm of being a husband, and being married.
