The "Criminal Minds" star who was fired last week for kicking a producer is now on Twitter.
Thomas Gibson, who played Supervisory Special Agent Aaron Hotchner, first tweeted:
I wish I could thank each of you for your friendship & support. I love "Criminal Minds," & I'm disappointed by what's happened #ThomasGibson— Thomas Gibson (@ImThomasGibson) August 16, 2016
He went on to say that he wanted to get on Twitter so he could stay connected with the fans and talk directly to them now that his longtime role with the show is over.
So far he has been good about replying to listeners, and his following has grown exponentially since he joined Tuesday.
Even though he may not be on fans' television screens every week, it is interesting to see that through social media, supporters are still able to have Gibson as a part of their lives.
The support you show means the world to me and my family. This is not an ending, but a beginning as well. Thank you all. #ThomasGibson— Thomas Gibson (@ImThomasGibson) August 17, 2016
