A Valley View Elementary School fifth grade teacher was removed from her class Monday following an episode during school.
According to a letter sent by Principal Shari Anderson, Serina Tang did not return to class after lunch Friday.
"However, at all time, the students in her class were supervised and administration intervened the moment we were made aware of her activity," Anderson's letter said.
Tang has been placed on leave until further notice.
The school is working on identifying a long-term substitute "to ensure a high quality education continues."
