Sacramento police are reporting that one man is dead and another has been hospitalized after an early-morning shooting in the area of Dry Creek Road and Harris Avenue.
Department spokesperson Linda Matthews says arriving officers found two gunshot victims.
"One was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the other unfortunately passed away at the scene."
No suspects are in custody. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
Meanwhile homicide inspectors will remain on the scene of Dry Creek and Harris throughout the morning. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
