CA Gov and Attorney General Challenge Trump National Emergency Declaration

California Governor Gavin Newsom says his state will sue the Trump administration over the national emergency declaration on the border. In a statement at the Capitol in Sacramento, Newsom remarked that the courts will have the last word on the matter, not President Trump. Newsom added that the emergency declaration will divert resources from effective anti-drug trafficking measures to what he called "a monument to stupidity." Trump announced a national emergency at the border this morning, claiming it's necessary due to drug and human trafficking.
