Sanders Sidesteps Question About Trump, Dems and Jews

Does President Trump really believe that Democrats hate Jews? White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders sidestepped that question on Monday during a White House news conference. She told reporters that they should "ask the Democrats."

Sanders defended President Trump's criticism of Democrats as anti-Jewish and anti-Semitic during the first news briefing she has presided over in 42 days. She said the President is an unabashed supporter of Israel. She accused House Democrats of putting forth a "watered-down" resolution last week that condemned hate speech. The resolution started out as a condemnation of anti-Semitism that was directed at Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar's criticism of U.S. policy on Israel. Omar is a freshman Muslim lawmaker.
