The Sacramento Police Department has released a series of video and audio footage following the death of a man who was allegedly found trespassing at The Golden 1 Center in early July.
That man has been identified as Mario Matthews, according to the Sacramento Coroners Office. Matthews died on July 4th, 2019, while he was receiving medical treatment at a local hospital. He was taken to the hospital after experiencing some sort of medical emergency while being detained.
"The suspect was reportedly behaving erratically, running through the (Golden 1 Center), ignoring commands from security officers and appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance," said Sac PD in a news release.
