Sacramento Embraces the Swedish Tradition of FIKA

Last week we did a segment on a Swedish tradition coming to parts of the United States. It's basically a coffee break on steroids called, "FIKA" . FIKA is a 30 minute break in the action at work. You have coffee, talk about anything but work, (preferably away from work) and maybe even have some pastry. The Swedes do this a few times a day. Its part of the culture and as Joe Luna of Boy's Bakery in Sacramento told us, one of the most delightful things he learned during his 3 years living in Sweden. Joe brought some FIKA buns to the KFBK studios and told us about his journey to understanding, embracing and now promoting FIKA as a way to humanize the modern workplace.
