Luke Walton cleared in sexual assault investigation by NBA/Kings

The Sacramento Kings and the NBA have concluded their joint investigation on Kings head coach Luke Walton.

After interviewing 20 people, including Walton himself, and based on the evidence they had available, the NBA concluded that Walton did not engage in improper contact with reporter Kelli Tennant.

Tennant also declined the opportunity to be interviewed for the investigation on multiple occasions.

On April 22 this year, Tennant filed a civil lawsuit against Walton and, on April 23, held a news conference in which she made claims of sexual assault, verbal and physical harassment, and unwanted physical contact over a three-year period.

Officials with both the league and the Kings say the investigation is considered closed unless new evidence becomes available.
