VFWCA to Celebrate 100thBirthday of WWII Veteran with Drive-By Parade

WHAT:         The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of California, along with VFWCA District 17, will host a drive-by parade to celebrate the 100th birthday of Lt. Richard Blackwell on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.

                       Lt. Richard Blackwell was a gunnery officer aboard the USS Colorado during World War II, where he received a Purple Heart for his service. John Lowe, VFWCA State Commander will present Lt. Blackwell with a Certificate of Recognition during the parade.

                       All are invited to participate in the drive-by parade. To participate, please contact Rodger Meier at 916-509-8712.
