The giant numerals for "2021" are arriving today in Times Square ahead of the New Year's Eve celebration that will have no crowds this year due to the pandemic.
The seven-foot tall numerals that took a cross country trip from California are arriving in the city ten days before New Year's Eve as people across the world eagerly await the end of 2020. The digits will hang out on the plaza until December 23rd before they take their place atop of One Times Square. Revelers are being kept out of Times Square for the big ball drop, but the show will go on with Gloria Gaynor appropriately singing her Disco era anthem, "I Will Survive."
The big networks that normally cover the party will be there, including Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest. The ABC show will feature performances from Jennifer Lopez and Cyndi Lauper.
