Convicted Sex Offender Charged In State's Unemployment Fraud Investigation

A convicted sex offender in Yolo County is one of the latest to be charged in California's ongoing unemployment fraud investigation.

Authorities say Taylor Gholar received benefits while in custody at the Yolo County Jail. Gholar's girlfriend Sonia Chan reportedly submitted an unemployment application for him online and received debit cards on his behalf. Investigators say the couple received nearly $12,000 from the state. Both are facing felony charges.
