The federal government is buying an extra 200 million doses of coronavirus vaccines.
President Biden hosted a White House event yesterday and said the distribution of vaccines to states will be significantly ramped up. Biden called the nationwide vaccination program a "wartime effort," and lamented the 420,000 Americans who have been killed by the virus. He also said his administration's pandemic response is based on science, not politics.
