A highly contagious strain of COVID-19 from South Africa has been found in South Carolina.
State officials would not release the names of the two adults who caught the new strain, but said they had no recent travel history. Three COVID-19 "variants of concern" are spreading across the globe, and all three have now been identified in the U.S.
