Active Bomb And "Zip" Gun Found At Sacramento Elementary School

Sacramento County Sheriff deputies responded to call a of 2 suspicious packages at Ethel I. Baker Elementary School on Tuesday morning around 8 a.m. Deputies said the homemade bomb and "zip" gun were active at the time of their arrival. Shortly after, they diffused the bomb and deactivated the gun before they were detonated. The Sheriff spokesperson told KFBK that inside the bomb was metal shrapnel, gasoline, and fireworks that meant to work as a fuel source inside the bomb. There are no suspects or motive identified at this time. Baker Elementary is currently being used as a facility for kids not equipped for distance learning and is operated by a local Boys and Girls club. No kids were present at the time of the spotting of the devices and no one was injured.
