A proposed casino in Sacramento County is one step closer to opening after securing funding.
Tribal leaders say a ground breaking ceremony for the Wilton Rancheria Resort and Casino is in the works and will be announced in the coming days. The casino will be built on 35 acres at Highway 99 and Kammerer Road. It will create 1,600 construction jobs, 300 direct and indirect jobs and open up more than 1,700 full-time positions. The resort and casino will feature over 300 suites and rooms, a movie theater, retail shops, restaurants, a pool and more.
