An iconic Sacramento artist is dead at 97. Gregory Kondos' wife, Moni Van Kamp Kondos, confirmed the artist passed away Friday after a recent hospitalization due to a minor stroke. He was recognized worldwide for his paintings of the Delta and Sacramento region. His mural called "River's Edge" is featured in Terminal A of the Sacramento International Airport. He is survived by a son and a daughter.
