Loyola High School Baseball Team Accused of Racist Act

Members of the Loyola High School baseball team in Los Angeles are accused of doing a racist taunt to a black pitcher on the opposing team.

Video from a game earlier this month shows several players in the dugout putting on Burger King crowns as the St. Francis High School pitcher was on the mound, upsetting his teammates.

The St. Francis team believes that was in reference to a viral video from last year, which shows a man in a Burger King crown being racist toward a black woman on a plane. Loyola High School has issued a statement, apologizing, but says some of its players thought the gesture was a "motivational act." The CIF says no rules were violated, and any discipline that may come is in the hands of the individual schools.
