Evacuation orders and warnings hit South Lake Tahoe and the remaining Lake Tahoe Basin on Sunday night after a challenging weekend for crews battling the Caldor Fire.
Since the Caldor Fire first erupted nearly two weeks ago, the blaze has devoured nearly 168,000 acres, and as of Saturday evening remained only 13% contained. Earlier Sunday, there was 19% containment reported.
