After leading officers on a chase through Placer County, a man is under arrest and is being accused of stealing more than $33,000 worth of baby formula from Target as witnessed on the security cameras. Authorities say 30-year-old Dylan Lovitt was caught filling up a box with baby formula from the Target store in Auburn Sunday evening. The Placer County Sheriff's Office ultimately used spike strips on Interstate 80, near Penryn Road, to stop his vehicle. He was soon allegedly connected to a string of similar robberies from other Target stores in the area. Officials with Target say Lovitt was part of an organized retail theft crime ring. He's since been booked into the Auburn Jail on a number of charges. Investigations are ongoing.
