Some of California's largest school districts will no longer be giving D and F grades to high school students.
Los Angeles Unified, Oakland Unified and Sac City Unified are among the districts who are phasing them out, to take an unconventional tactic to re-engage students, and hopefully boost their chances of acceptance into the state public colleges.
