Six people are dead and at least twelve others are injured after a shooting in downtown Sacramento. Sacramento Police tweeted early Sunday morning that officers located at least 15 shooting victims, including 6 who are deceased. The tweet says a section of downtown is closed during the investigation, and that victims conditions are unknown at this time. No further details have been released.
Sac PD is advising for people to avoid the area of from 9th to 13th streets between L and J streets. A media staging area is being set up at 9th and K streets although a firm time for a media event has yet to be established.
