  1. Coastal fire in Orange County burning about 200 acres and 2 dozen homes. An upscale Laguna Niguel subdivision was burned in an intense brush fire Wednesday evening, spanning almost 200 acres, burning 20 homes and forcing evacuations.
  2. Governor Newsom released a preview of the revised budget - making abortion free - with $57 million for abortion care package. Most of the new funding, approximately $40 million, will fund “grants to reproductive health care providers to offset the cost of providing care to low- and moderate-income individuals who do not have health care coverage for abortion care services,” a news release said.
  3. Weed consumption lounges in Sacramento on hold for now. A plan to allow legal marijuana use in Sacramento lounges has stalled.
  4. California in violation of the Second Amendment of the US Constitution according to Court Of Appeals. According to a three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, California’s 2019 law prohibiting people under 21 from buying semiautomatic rifles violates the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, ruled on Wednesday.
