Following his arrest, Noble was fired by the university on May 20, and UC Davis school officials announced they are launching an investigation into Noble’s allegations to determine programs and activities he engaged in where there might have been further sexual misconduct during his tenure.

Prosecutors said Noble has been released on a $100,000 bond that includes special conditions - no contact with minors and home confinement with electronic location monitoring. If convicted, Noble faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison with a mandatory minimum of five years, a $250,000 fine and up to a lifetime of supervised release. However, any sentence from the trial will be determined at the discretion of the court after consideration of any applicable statutory factors and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
