New Waterfront Sign Lights Up in Old Sacramento Tonight

Listen: ...Scott Ford - Economic Development Director, Downtown Sacramento Partnership

Rising more than 20’ above the California State Railroad Museum rooftop and clearly visible from I-5, an inviting and eye-catching beacon will light up the Capital City skyline when a custom-designed Old Sacramento Waterfront sign lights up for the first time on Wednesday evening, June 22.

Over two years in development, this landmark place making project was designed by Sacramento-based Pacific Neon Company and will serve to welcome visitors as they approach Downtown Sacramento from the north and be clearly visible each evening after nightfall. The project was made possible through the Downtown Sacramento Foundation, a public 501c3 nonprofit that funds services and projects that complement the efforts of the Downtown Sacramento Partnership to build a more inclusive and diverse downtown.
