Broadway Sacramento President and CEO Richard Lewis is Retiring

After devoting his entire career to Broadway Sacramento, an extraordinary tenure of service matched by few other theatre industry executives, President & CEO Richard Lewis announced that he has decided to retire this summer.

“It has been an honor to be a part of this amazing organization and to have contributed to its growth into one of the preeminent musical theatre producers/presenters in the country,” said Lewis, whose father, Russell Lewis, co-founded Broadway At Music Circus more than 70 years ago. “While I will be stepping down from my day-to-day responsibilities, Broadway Sacramento will always be near and dear to my heart, and I look forward to my new role as patron and supporter.”

Broadway Sacramento Producing Artistic Director & COO Scott Klier, who has worked alongside Lewis for a number of years and currently oversees production of the nationally acclaimed Broadway At Music Circus series, will become President & CEO.
