- The man behind Thursday's evacuation of the capitol has been arrested; the suspect made threats of shooting up the capitol after two shootings the previous night. California Highway Patrol evacuated the Capitol and swept the building for the suspect, who was still on the run at the time. Congressman John Garamendi released a statement praising Feinstein's work and says he does not believe it is necessary for Senator Feinstein to resign to fulfill her duties.
