- Millions of Californians are bracing for utility bills to soar nearly 400-dollars next year. State regulators approved a 13% PG&E bill increase Thursday, only half of what was requested. The company says the money is needed to move underground power lines to help prevent wildfires and meet rising demands for electricity.
