  1. The Supreme Court will hear a case that could greatly impact California's homeless crisis. The case centers around whether or not homeless individuals have a constitutional right to camp on public property.   3. California lawmakers are considering a bill that would restrict the use of police dogs. Assembly Bill 742 introduced by Democrat Corey Jackson last year is moving forward this year. The bill states that K9 units can't be used in any kind of crowd control, or in situations where threats of death or serious bodily injury are not a risk for officers trying to apprehend suspects.   4. Budget experts at the Legislative Analysts Office are disputing Governor Newsom's recent budget projections. They say the Governor's budget is optimistic and that the projected new deficit of $38 billion is realistically closer to $58 billion. Click here to read more.
