- California Governor Gavin Newsom is being blamed for the rise in retail theft; in this case, he watched it happen. During a Zoom meeting on Wednesday, Newsom recounted a story with participants about how he was at a Target store, and somebody walked out with merchandise without paying. - Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg apologized directly to the parents of children who were harmed by social media. During a Senate hearing about online child safety Wednesday, he added that his company is working on efforts to stop exploitation on his platforms.
