Levee Repair Work Along I-5 is Completed, Scott's on the River Celebrates

Scott's Seafood on the River co-owner Alan Irvine had a mural painted on the wall that was built during levee repair. The wall has come down and the river view restored.

Back in March of 2023 the Army Corps of ENgineers started work repairing levees along I-5 south which just happened to impact a restaurant along the river which was known for it's views, but ended up with a wall erected outside.

THe wall was 16' high and more than 280' wide, running the length of the restaurant and the Westin Hotel on the same property- It completely blocked the restaurant’s river views, causing the cancelation of dozens of outdoor events, a significant portion of its income.

Alan Irvine, owner of Scott’s Seafood on the River now got some good news.
