Water began to spill over the top of Deer Creek Levee near the town of Wilton south of Sacramento on Wednesday morning. Officials have been keeping an eye on the rising water in the Cosumnes River and its tributaries.
Two confirmed breaches of the levee have been reported, but one of the breeches reportedly has been repaired. Crews have been working to close the other and no flood damage has been seen.
