The Sacramento County Office of Emergency Services is downgrading the evacuation advisory to an evacuation warning for Tyler Island residents. Although residents are being allowed back into the area, officials warn there is still a potential for another evacuation.
Repairs to a levee are still in progress and appear to be holding. However, the repairs will not be fully tested until the next storm moves through the area Wednesday night or Thursday.
Officials say that when going home, residents should be aware of road closures and should not attempt to drive through water on the roads. They note that flood dangers do not end when the water begins to recede.
