As we have reported, damaged spillways at Oroville Dam resulted in an emergency evacuation last weekend. Even though residents who live downstream from the dam have been allowed to go home, they are being told to remain on alert just in case. Officials say the dam structure is safe, but crews were working around the clock to improve the condition of the emergency spillway, and the water at Lake Oroville is being lowered to take pressure off the spillways.
Given that another winter is expected to drop more rain and snow on Northern California now through the weekend, we want to make sure you have the latest information.
